Product Description
The VLS5000 vibrating level switch is designed for point-level detection of liquids in tanks, vessels and pipelines. Its tuning fork is driven at a mechanical resonant frequency. When the fork is immersed in the process liquid, the vibration changes and the switch converts this change into an electrical contact for alarm, pump control or process interlocking.
With no float or other moving mechanical parts, the unit provides dependable high-level or low-level switching with minimal routine maintenance. It can be installed from the top or side of a vessel and is suitable for many clean, viscous and industrial liquids when the selected process connection and wetted materials are compatible with the application.
